If you have the phone clipped at the horizontal position, the weight of the phone actually pulls against the sides of the case, distorting it a little. The silicon case is fairly stretchable and installation of the Vu is a piece of cake. First of all, there are some nice features to the Body Glove Silicone Case for the Vu: 1) It is easy to place onto the Vu. The weight of the phone also pulls the phone away from the back of the case, making the phone hang at an angle away from your body (this occurs in any phone position). 2) The belt clip comes with a "kick stand" to prop up the phone in horizontal and vertical position, which is somewhat handy. It also has a swivel/rachet mechanism to hold the phone in whatever position you want it to be at.Now for the drawbacks to this case: 1) The case is too stretchy. 2) Although this case does not come with screen shields, it would've been nice if it did.Overall, I would give it 2.5/5.0 stars, if I can figure out how to give half a star. It's an average product for an ok price.
I did not want to buy one of those cheap ill-fitting covers so I went for this one seeing it was made by body glove. I was not disappointed. it takes away from the phone's looks but protects it, especially since i saw no sense in buying handset insurance from my carrier. the kickstand and its knob come off easily, though the base does protrude from the bottom.
I purchased this case to protect my phone and am generally happy with it compared to others I've seen and read about. The clip also made my phone bulky so I've chosen not to use it at all.*2. I had to buy screen protectors sperately before I could really put it to full use. It's also easily removable if needed. I think so. However, there were 2 things I was most displeased with when my "phone case" arrived;1. It's soft, durable and covers the phone well while providing a good grip. This item is described as a phone case, but leaves the touch screen (its most critical element) completely unprotected.
The removable clip/kick stand was difficult to squeeze and did not grip adequately. My phone frequently slid out of place or fell off completely, no matter how carefull I was to ensure that the clip openned/closed properly and was properly placed. Anyone can by a cover for their phone, but when purchasing a case, does it not make sense to expect that case to cover ALL parts of said phone, especially the screen. This "cover" is a good one but be prepared to buy more stuff to go with it.
Have had the case for about a month and a half love it. I feel lost without it, pretty rugged and keeps my phone protected. I really like the quick release from the belt clip. Great product.
I wish there was another color only because if I set it down on any thing black it is nearly invisible with a quick glance-black car interior or dark granite countertops. Cover fits good. I have access to all the buttons. It's too bad the the belt clip thing doesn't completely come off (annoying). The case is easy to slip on and off if needed and fits nicely around the buttons and access points.
